Grateful Dead Mountain Aire II poster 1987

Description

Reports are very positive about these shows at 1,400 feet in the heart of Gold Country. Santana joined the Dead for performances of "Good Morning, Little School Girl" and "In the Midnight Hour" on the first night, and "Iko Iko" and "All Along the Watchtower" on the second. The poster is by Bill Graham Presents Design Director, Arlene Owsechik. She depicts “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” a short story written in 1865 by Mark Twain, his first major success, which spread nationally.
