Vintage Psychedelic 60s and 70s Poster Art - Browse Online at Bahr Gallery

Original concert poster by Rick Griffin, January 1969. The Dead liked this artwork so much they asked Griffin to reconfigure the design to use for the cover of their third album, Aoxomoxoa. The seminal Live/Dead recordings of  "The Eleven" and "Turn On Your Love Light" were from the January 26, 1969 show at the Avalon Ballroom, advertised on this poster.

The Bahr Gallery is your source for premium, rare, vintage and hard-to-find rock concert posters (emphasis on the late 1960s psychedelic era), beautifully framed, archivally mounted, and behind nearly-invisible Museum Glass. If you are looking for a special or unique gift - or just a special addition to your home or office walls - the Bahr is the place to find it. In addition to more than 40 Grateful Dead posters we have another 140 pieces in our framed inventory and the entire selection is now online.

Historic and often stunning pieces feature bands and artists including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin & Big Brother, The Doors, The Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service and many more. We ship nationwide in super safe foam egg-crate packaging - click on the link at the bottom of this page to see how we ship.

Right now, live entertainment events are on hold - they will return! But now may be the time to invest in a beautiful historic poster that will be bringing you joy every day of the year (and year after year).

With a handful of exceptions, Bahr Gallery pieces are all first-edition posters - frequently printed before the concerts to sell tickets - the real thing, the good stuff. If you want the best, you will find it at The Bahr.  Bahr Gallery pieces have hung at the Nassau County Museum of Art, are on the walls of the Poster House Museum in NYC and we currently have 11 pieces on loan to the Bill Graham Exhibition at the New York Historical Society Museum in New York City.

Our pieces have been shipped to Palm Desert and Hillsborough CA as well as Aspen, Chicago, Miami, South Carolina and are hanging in the Hamptons, Manhatan, and all over the Tri-State area.  All pieces are guaranteed to be authentic as to the edition cited and come with a Bahr Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.
