Oyster Bay’s thriving arts community will host the 4th Annual Holiday Art Night on Saturday, December 13, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. Seven galleries, two special one-night artist open studios, and Theodore’s Books will open their doors for an evening of art, shopping, and holiday cheer.
“We are in the midst of a true art renaissance, and new businesses—including several new restaurants—are enlivening the retail experience in Oyster Bay,” said Ted Bahr, owner of the Bahr Gallery. All venues will offer complimentary gallery-style refreshments, and admission is free.

Nola Zirin Studios — 67 West Main Street, Unit A
Acclaimed artist Nola Zirin welcomes visitors to her third Open Studio in Oyster Bay, featuring new paintings on canvas and wood alongside unique works on paper. Known for treating color as its own subject, Zirin layers vibrant hues to shape emotional and perceptual experience. Her work appears in major museum collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and The Brooklyn Museum. In 2024, June Kelly Gallery presented her 10th solo exhibition, Assembling Chaos.

The Pagio Gallery — 19 Spring Street
The Pagio Gallery celebrates contemporary fine craft by award-winning New York artists, with works in jewelry, fiber, ceramics, glass, and metal. Holiday Art Night will feature “All Wrapped Up for the Holidays,” a curated selection of fine art and wearable art jewelry, including pieces by artist and jewelry designer Paola Giordano.

Hive Market is a dynamic hub where local artisans present their work in a combined studio, gallery, and retail space. For Holiday Art Night, Hive will host an opening reception for photographer Stephen Bitel, whose award-winning career spans fine art, documentary, and photojournalism. His work has been published widely and exhibited at institutions including the African American Museum in Hempstead.

The Teaching Studios of Art — 98 Audrey Avenue
Artist Robert Zeller will present “Sketches from the Studio,” a one-night exhibition of plein-air landscapes painted in the Catskills and Berkshires, along with preparatory figurative studies for his recent solo show at Robilant + Voena Gallery in New York City. Zeller is the founder of The Teaching Studios of Art and author of New Surrealism: The Uncanny in Contemporary Painting (2023) and The Figurative Artist’s Handbook (2017).

The Pearl Tattoo and Art Gallery — 57 West Main Street
The Pearl will showcase art created and collected by its tattoo artisans, including works by pop-surrealist Mark Ryden and related artists. Visitors can browse tattoo artist portfolios, enjoy wine and cheese, explore a mini art market, and participate in Scarlett Beauty’s make-your-own charm jewelry bar. Theodore’s Books will offer 10% off storewide during Holiday Art Night and provide a curated Holiday Gift Guide for creative shoppers. Guests can enjoy refreshments and meet owner Steve Israel, the former U.S. Congressman who left Washington to open an independent bookstore. Israel will be signing his new novel, The Einstein Conspiracy, as well as his earlier political satires The Global War on Morris (2014) and Big Guns (2018).

Bahr Gallery — 95 Audrey Avenue
The Bahr Gallery will feature its Fall exhibition, “Vintage Grateful Dead Concert Posters,” running through January 3, 2026. The gallery specializes in late-1960s psychedelic poster art and will display original works from San Francisco’s “Big Five” artists: Wes Wilson, Stanley Mouse, Victor Moscoso, Rick Griffin, and Alton Kelley. Visitors can enjoy refreshments and explore rare pieces from a formative era in American counterculture.
