Spring is coming and so is Hawaiian Slack Key guitar music at the Bahr Gallery on Saturday night, March 23rd, from 6:00-8:00pm. Join us for wine and cheese, snacks, and great music all surrounded by our Winter Showcase Exhibition of more amazing vintage 1960s psychedelic rock poster art!
The evening is free of charge but we’d love an RSVP.
Imagine that Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassidy from Hot Tuna went to Hawaii for a year to write new songs. That’s what One Trick Pony sounds like, which consists of Ben Diamond, Jeff Brody and Dan “Big Hands” Doll - plus special guest Blake Hanson. Their original music is heavily influenced by Hot Tuna and the island sound of Hawaiian Slack Key guitar playing. Expect to hear a lot of great original music, plus some Grateful Dead interpretations and plenty of other tunes from the late 60s and early 70s.
Come for the music and art and then head out to one of Oyster Bay’s great restaurants! A listing of walkable restaurants to choose from is here: http://www.bahrgallery.com/about/visiting-oyster-bay
March 23 – first day of Spring! Come on down to the Bahr!
